01 — What this place is

Not a rental.
A community.

NVCBLE is being built as a place for musicians from Casey and the south-east to find each other. Write with someone you met at the jam. Record it down the corridor. Play it to a full room on a Last Friday — and if it is good, put it out on our label. Studio, stage and record label, all under one roof, from mid-2027.

We will be on an industrial street in Hallam, five minutes off the Monash Freeway and the Princes Highway. The neighbours are fabricators and machine shops, so there will be no curfew and nobody to keep quiet for. Once we open, come on a day you have nothing booked, put the kettle on and see who is around. Nobody here will care how many streams you have.

02 — Under one roof

From the first jam to the release show

    Record

    A live room big enough for the whole band and a control room tuned so the mix you hear is the mix that comes out. Engineer included and digital files the same week, from the day we open.

    Collaborate

    We are starting a list of writers, players and producers from across the south-east who want to be in the room. Register your interest and you are on it before the doors open.

  • 03

    Rehearse

    Three-hour blocks on a proper PA, at a price a band on a weeknight can actually pay. Run the set before the showcase, not on the night.

    Perform

    Once we open, the live room becomes a stage on the last Friday of the month, ten times a year, and once a year the whole building becomes one big show.

    Greenroom

    A small content studio off the live room. Short clips and photos of artists and bands, shot properly and handed over ready for Instagram, press kits and gig posters.

    Release

    NVCBLE Records is the label we are building for artists from Casey and the south-east — recorded here, mastered here, released from here.

03 — Last Friday

A showcase, ten times a year

Once we open, the live room becomes a stage on the last Friday of the month, ten nights a year. Two first-timers, three local acts, a headliner, and an open jam until late.

Under One Roof

The plan: once a year, clear the building, put a stage on the hardstand out front, and give the whole south-east a day off. Twenty acts across three stages, food trucks down Melverton Drive, and a finale where everyone who played comes back on at once.

04 — NVCBLE Records

A label for local artists

A label in the making. No roster yet — we want to sign musicians from the south-east, Casey first, and release their records from the same building they were made in. They keep their masters. We keep putting them on stage.

About the label

05 — Not-for-profit

Run by the community, for the community

Studio NVCBLE will be run as a not-for-profit. Membership costs a small donation, and sponsors and the community cover the rest — so the people with the talent get in the room, whether or not they have the money.

Members

A small monthly donation, roughly the price of a coffee, makes you a member. Members get subsidised studio, rehearsal and Greenroom time, and free entry to Last Friday.

Local businesses, councils and music organisations fund the gap — studio days, gear, shoots and the artist fund — and get their name on something the whole south-east turns up to.

Donors

Every dollar from the community goes two ways: into the artist fund, which pays for the people who cannot pay for themselves, and into the cost of keeping the doors open — rent, power, gear and upkeep. Five dollars, fifty or an old amp — it all counts.

06 — The open door

Turn up, hang out

The idea is an open door. Writers, players and producers from Narre Warren to Pakenham drifting through, and a list of who is looking for a collaborator — so if you arrive short a drummer or a top-line, you can ask. Bring a friend, bring the band. Register now and you are on that list from day one.
